I can’t believe I had been sleeping on this place — Phenomenal white espresso (try the bananas foster latte 🤤). The people are so nice, too!
Wonderful coffee with many unique varieties. All of the staff is very pleasant and the dining area is great to meet with friends to sit and chat.
Stopped into this place for the first time and immediately fell in love with the atmosphere. I enjoyed the coffee and will be returning with my toddler as it appears to be very kid friendly with the toy corner and seating areas.
Great little, locally owned coffee shop to hang out at!
*review for their new location* A quint coffee shop not too far from downtown! The staff was friendly and the atmosphere is rustic and a quality coffee shop! Parking is a bit different (no lot, street) and didn't seem too busy. Go check them out!
After reading several of the one-star reviews of Fuel Coffee Shop, I am convinced that many of the criticisms stem less from legitimate shortcomings and more from a lack of understanding of coffee culture. It is unfortunate when personal frustrations are projected onto a business that, in my experience, consistently excels. For years I have been a regular patron, and I have never encountered the alleged “poor service” described in other reviews. On the contrary, the owner has greeted me warmly on each visit and even remembers me, a small but telling detail that reflects genuine attentiveness. Such positive interactions are not accidental; they result from reciprocal respect and kindness. As for complaints about the quality of the coffee, they strike me as misguided. Fuel Coffee Shop serves exactly what it advertises: coffee and very good coffee at that. If one’s palate prefers the burnt, mass-produced brew of a gas station pot or the standardized offerings of a corporate chain, that is a matter of preference, not objective quality. Expecting every independent shop to mimic Starbucks both in taste and service model reflects a fundamental misunderstanding of what local coffeehouses represent. Finally, I find the allegations of disrespect puzzling. In my observation, baristas do not engage in hostility without cause. It is worth considering whether the reviewers’ own behavior may have shaped the interactions they now characterize so harshly. In sum, Fuel Coffee Shop deserves recognition for its consistent hospitality, authentic product, and role as a genuine local institution, not the dismissive critiques of those unwilling to meet it on its own terms.
This place is a gem! Great staff and service with a homey, welcoming vibe. Very much worth getting off I-65 for a nice cup of latte and an avocado toast.
First time coming here in 4 years, and it’s the best coffee i’ve had so far. This location is adorable, lots of seating, and the oatmeal and coffee i had was so good. it was a little pricey and it did take almost 20 minutes for my food and drink to be ready but it was okay it was worth it and it made my day when i got it!
This place is more than just a coffee shop—it’s a love story. What began with a couple’s shared passion has grown into a welcoming, cozy spot that feels like home the moment you walk in. Built inside a converted house, Fuel at Five Point invites you to slow down and enjoy something special. The staff? Some of the kindest and most genuine people you’ll meet. Friendly, supportive, and always ready to walk you through their creative menu. The coffee? Exceptional. They roast their beans in-house with real care, and it shows in every sip. You can tell they love what they do, and they use their platform to support meaningful causes, too. Now, let’s talk drinks. If you’re into something bold and new, try their White Espresso—yes, white. Think of it like Saudi or Yemeni coffee—lightly roasted, earthy, nutty—but served as an espresso. I had mine with white chocolate, and I honestly haven’t stopped thinking about it since. It was smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced. They also play around with fun, seasonal treats. The crème brûlée was unreal. Sweet, silky, and with that perfect burnt-sugar finish. If you’re anywhere near, stop by. Whether you’re a coffee purist or someone who enjoys playful flavor twists, there’s something here for you. You’re not just grabbing a cup—you’re supporting a place built with heart.
I go here way too much. Normally twice a weekend. I highly recommend the rise and shine smoothie as well as the bagel with salmon. Avocado toast is always great too. The team working is consistent and friendly. The place is normally very busy. Expect to wait a bit for your order. I am always able to get a spot to sit.
